The streets are in good condition, here we had a stretch of 8km gravel.
Also the traffic is pretty good and the columbians pass quite good, though they drive like crazy!
There are lots of Mototaxis and buses on the road. They honk when they pass you to warn, they honk to greet... they love honking :)
La gente son muy amable - The Colombians are nice and communicative people, it doesnt matter where we stop some people come and ask us a lot of questions! Thats good to practice our Espanol!

On New Years Eve the Columbians have a tradition to burn puppets which symbolize the old year with all the bad things.
1st of January at the Rio Bedo!
In Dabeiba we met Enrico an Italian cyclist.
He travels around the world for 4 years now and he is on the way north!
We spend a day together and shared a tiny room in the cellarhotel!
The beginning of the Andes! Yehaa! Our highest point was 2160m.
We climbed over 1500m in 30km.
On the way we met these guys from Medellin. They are bikepacking to Choco, a department of Colombia at the Atlantic Coast with lots of jungle.
Its dangerous here, you can camp at the swimming pool, there its safe!
Four young people from the village helped us to get new spokes.
And as it got dark they accompanied to the swimming pool.
There was still a soccer match and lots of people when we set up our tent and started to cook!

It happened in front of the Finca from Leon and Clara close to Bolombolo!
We asked them if we can camp on their property and after some minutes to think about they heartly welcomed us in their house and prepared dinner for us!

Nach zwölf Tagen Radeln, einem Pausentag in Santa Fe de Antioquia sind wir nun in Amagá im Ökohostel in den Bergen angekommen. Die Fahrt war sehr abwechslungsreich, heiß, unglaublich heiß und mit vielen netten Begegnungen gespickt!
Die Kolumbianer sind sehr offen, freundlich und interessiert. Besonders die Kinder fragen uns gerne aus, über Deutschland, unsere Fahrräder, warum wir keine Kinder haben und vieles vieles mehr!
Wir verbringen die meisten Nächte in Hotels, besonders an der Küste und freuen uns über die Klimaanlage. Das Zelt hatten wir bisher nur dreimal benutzt, einmal haben wir bei einem Bauernhof mit Rindern übernachten und sind um 4.30 mit den Kühen aufgewacht! Ein anderes Mal konnten wir im Schwimmbad übernachten und ein weiteres Mal bei Leon und Clara.
Nach über 9000km kommen nun die ersten mechanischen Probleme mit Philipps Hinterrad! Fünf Speichenbrüche in drei Tagen!

Wir sind nun eine Weile in Amagá und verbessern unsere Sprachkenntnisse in einem weiteren Kurs und lernen noch etwas über Permakultur im Ecohostel Medellin!
