11.2. - 22.2.

Through the Valley of Heat we came to Cali the Capital of Salsa!

Colombians LOVE shoes :)

Streetlife in Cali

Cali again!

Icecream vendor in a parc in Cali.

We love talking to the Motodrivers! Here - leaving the chaotic city Cali!

Our first stealth camping place in Colombia (we asked for permission!)

After leaving the flat Valle de Cauca the big climbs and mountains began.
It is definitely worth it! The landscape is beautiful.

This is a small Panela factory. Panela is sugar cane pressed into cubes.
They make Agua Panela out of it, refreshing with lime added.
And they use it to sweeten a lot of other things too.

It is always good to know if there is an uphill there is a downhill ... yehaa!

On the way from Popayan to Pasto.

In this area they build lots of houses with bamboo.

Construction on the Panamericana!

We asked a family for camping and after a nice chat they discussed what to do with us.
Finally they showed us the shower and this room, were we could sleep.
Some kids from this tiny village came and sat on the bags of lime to whatch every thing we did until our food was ready and we started to eat!

On the side of the road!

After more than two month we are about leaving this beautiful country with its beautiful people. We liked a lot biking here and meeting people from all over the world. We also saw a lot of the nature variety Colombia has. Now we are in Pasto, 80km from the ecuadorian border and more than 3000 highmeters away. Ecuador we are coming!

1.2. - 10.2. Amagá - Salento

Life at the Plaza of Amagá

Thank you Fabian for the delicious German Style Sandwich!

Relax after the first big climb after nearly 4 weeks without cycling.

Viva Colombia! We could camp at this Kiosk and had a great time and conversation with the family!

Thats a lot of sugar!!!

Biking in Colombia - From Medellin to Salento

We stopped at this Coffee place guess why??
It rained a lot and we had no more fun to cycle.
German and his wife invited us for coffee and we asked them if we can camp somewhere.

They welcomed us and let us camp in their garage.

The view into the valley from Salento.

Our highest Point so far - Hiking not biking in the Vale de Cocora
